ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT PLAN

Following veterinary referral a thorough case history is obtained followed by a robust assessment which includes observation of movement in hand, lunging or longlining and possibly ridden.  A hands on examination will be performed. ( Approximate assessment and treatment time 1 hour 45 minutes)

Following initial treatment which may include massage techniques, stretches, and on occasions modalities such as Ultrasound, Pulse Electromagnetic Flow (PEMF), Electrostimulation, Laser and Kinesiology Equine Taping  may be combined with other modalities. A fullrehabilitation plan will be provided. This normally requires participation in the following weeks from the owner/groom.  It is important to follow the treatment plan so that your horse will gain the maximum from the visit gaining in muscle strength and fitness.  A dedicated physiotherapy helpline is provided as well as written guidelines that can be referred to between visits.
